ILLUSTRATOR. DESIGNER. CHILDREN’S BOOK RHYMER.

Melissa Colovic has always been an artist...always creating, designing, rhyming. Her childhood was filled with writing poetry, creating magazines, designing outfits, and building mini water parks (in her bedroom). In 2005, she graduated with a Bachelor in Arts, focusing on graphic design.  Her work experience started as a graphic designer for At Home in Arkansas magazine in Little Rock. Here, she expanded her design skills and developed a love for finding great fonts. She then took an opportunity to study abroad and work as a nanny in Croatia. When she returned, Melissa started as the Senior Designer for a screen printing company, focusing more on illustration. The biggest adventure of her life began when she married a Croatian and started having babies. Soon after, she discovered her love for picture books. Melissa’s inspiration is fueled by music, long runs and traveling the world with her kiddos. Life is more magical through the lens of a child.
